Navigating the challenges of life can feel overwhelming at times. Having the right support in place so you can feel whole, connected, and resilient is vital. As a clinician practicing empowerment focused Internal Family Systems, I focus on building strong relationships with each and every one of my clients. I believe in making therapy functional, accessible, and fulfilling. WIth a focus on primarily treating Trauma, Anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and Interpersonal Relationship Issues, I am equipped to work with a wide variety of general topics. I work with adults or older youth (16 and above).
Faith and connection to the spiritual aspects of ourselves is crucial. This is why as a practicing therapist and a Christian myself, incorporating biblical and faith based interventions is a holistic approach to facing many topics. I am accepting and welcoming of all faiths, all persons, (yes, all) and all belief systems. My personal connection to Christianity strengthens the therapeutic work while also adds important lived experience and connection to people who remain “in the church” or have been hurt by it, and need space to examine these feelings.
I received my Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University and have additional training in Trauma Focused CBT, IFS, and Suicide Prevention and Assessment. I’ve worked in outpatient, and telehealth settings, giving me a well-rounded perspective on supporting clients. I am licensed to practice in New York and Florida.
When I’m not working with my clients, you can find me curled up with my cats, reading a good book, scrolling on Pinterest for a fun new activity, spontaneously painting my walls, or getting a new tattoo. Feel free to reach out and see if we would be a good fit!
