Bible Verses
In this life, there is so much that can weigh us down and we all need to be encouraged! In addition to regular therapy, we recommend daily reading of the Bible and a time of worship for those yearning for more of God in their life; knowing and believing that God is our Healer and Helper. Below are some of our favorite verses from the Bible for the following topics:
Fear
“For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
“He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

“Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine.”
Isaiah 43:1
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand”
Isaiah 41:10
Depression
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

“The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
Psalm 34:17
“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”
Psalm 42:11
“I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the LORD and put their trust in him.”
Psalm 40:1-3
Anxiety
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
“Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.”
